Amitav Ghosh @ Kochi!!!

Amitav Ghosh, one of the most important  writers in contemporary Indian literature will be visiting Kochi on June 17. He will be launching his new book 'Flood of Fire' , the latest addition to his ibis trilogy here at David Hall. The launch will also include a conversation between Amitav Gosh and critic Dr. C S Venkiteswaran. The earlier versions of the trilogy dealt with the British era in India and Opium trade in China, the final volume will be combing both the aspects and dealing with the First opium war (1839-42). His famous works include Sea of Poppies, Glass Palace, Hungry Tide etc.
