Elora Candles - leading customized candle makers based in Cochin, started a new professional candle making workshop in Kerala in 2016, with an aim to crack the art of candle making fun for all and to grab the art creatively in a single day session.
- The session is designed for amateurs, and for those looking for a Startup firm.
- The workshops last for 5 hours (10.00am - 3.00pm). During this session you will learn about using wax safely, the types of waxes available, colours, aroma and multiple techniques one can use.
- The class focuses primarily on the art of Paraffin Wax candle making, but does include a brief foray into Gel Wax. It includes an Introduction to candle-making through the ages and also an overview of different types of wax, wicks, dyes, fragrances and candles. We cover the description of commonly used waxes, how to measure the correct quantities, wax dyes and their effects, pour temperatures and the methods to fix surface problems. This workshop will reveal how to design beautifully decorated, floating and pillar candles.
