Shall we dance Mr.Clark? Asks a graceful Jennifer Lopez to Richard Gere’s introverted character in the 1996 movie, Shall We Dance. He hesitates, he puts out his two left feet, and an ends up falling in love with dance. You may disregard it as a filmy fantasy, but Arun Srinivasan would beg to differ. The founder of Salsa Madras and an instructor for the past seven years, Arun didn’t have any professional training and his only experience being the regular college fests. A scientist by education, it was in Edinburgh while doing his masters that he discovered Salsa. According to him he was the introverted geek type, much like our beloved Mr. Clark but dance opened him up and completely changed him.
