The Sufi Night will be peppered with Sufi Stories, Live Sufi Music. We shall use the time to introduce various forms of Indic Studies and their contribution for bettering human life. There shall be a Kalari Demonstration by Sivan Gurukal, student of Pappachan Ashaan and his son Sarath Achary. They have been instrumental in training maximum women in Kerala in the art of self defense arising from awareness. "Kalari is the oldest form of martial arts, we hope to revive Kalari and focus on women empowerment", said Sivan Gurukal. His team has won various district, state and national championships. Mayuri Mohan a professionally trained Kalakshetra style Bharatanatyam dancer with over 15 yrs of teaching experience shall introduce classical dance as a form of therapy and personality development. She has a degree in Philosophy and Psychology, work experience with National T.V , armed forces, etc. "Bharatnatyam is primarily a tool for exuberance and expression, both are much needed in a Kerala that seems to be in a depression epidemic.", stated Mayuri.
