A Look At The Moments From Spice Route Culinary Festival

The Spice Route Culinary Festival is a mega International event conducted jointly by Kerala Tourism, Government of Kerala and UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). The  event this year was held at Bolgatty Palace and Resorts, KTDC, Cochin, from 23rd to 26th September 2016.

Regional qualifying rounds were held from 19th to 23rd of September 2016 at Food Craft Institute, Kalamassery.The finals were held at The Bolgatty Palace and Resorts, KTDC, Cochin.

In the competition for the international chefs, the team from France with  Chef Didier Corlou & Chef Le Minh Manh won first prize, Chef Yasser Ramadan & Chef Mariem Magdy from Egypt were the first runner up; and Chef Songpol Vithanwata & Chef Jareuk Sriaroon from Thailan were the second runner up. 

The Amatuer Chef Competition was won by Sanjay Sunny, followed by Lisa Jojy as the first runner up and Saida Abdul Salima as the second runner up

The winners for the Kerala Chef Competition were Prakash Sunderam who won first prize, Ashok Eapen who was the first runner up and U P Siyad C A who for the second runner up position. The award ceremony for the Kerala Chef Competition winners was during Valedictory session of the Spice Route Culinary Festival on the 26th September 2016.
