Brush Held Cop Attracts People's Attention

Rajeevan TV, commonly known as Rajeev Alungan, is an artistic cop who dedicated his life to painting, which he holds as a passion. Rajeev is a senior civil police officer of Traffic East police station, Edappalli and finds time to indulge in his passion along with work. Rajeev was much interested in painting since his childhood and he used to scribble on walls and papers with whatever sharp ended materials he got. Observing his eagerness to paint, his parents and siblings encouraged him get a diploma in painting from the School of Fine Arts, Tripunithura. "The police department too encourages me to uphold my passion as my parents did". Rajeev says with a smile on his face. His family including wife JiJi and only daughter Anjana Rajeevan, supports his interest even with his busy schedule. Rajeev Alungan's exhibits at the Durbar Hall Art Gallery this month explored various techniques and traditional elements.
