During the festive season this year, Courtyard by Marriott Kochi is inspired by sugar, spice and all things nice. The onset of the traditional cake mixing ceremony was the perfect start to embrace the yuletide spirit that is set to unfold shortly. The team of culinary experts spearheaded by Chef Ramesh Kukreti is brewing an eclectic repertoire of signature delicacies and sweet treats.

Generous portions of exotic dried fruits, nuts and candied fruits were steeped together by our discerning guests. The highlight of the festivities was the coin tossing ritual into the fruit and nut mix. Guests participated with zeal and excitement at this fun ritual and the guest who found the coin in the cake mix won a special prize from the hotel.

The heady assortment of nuts and dried fruits will now be used by the hotel’s culinary brigade to bake traditional plum cakes and decadent Christmas puddings. Says General Manager Lakshman Ramanathan “ Our guests are looking for unique, emotional experiences to share with their loved ones. Making each and every point of contact with our guests part of a Christmas tale seems to be the perfect way to create lasting memories for young and old alike and my team and I endeavor to make every such occasion special.”

After the cake mixing ceremony, guests were treated to an elegant afternoon tea complete with savories, hearty desserts and of course the little joys of enjoying selfies and many candid camera moments.
