A first of its kind in Kerala- Digital Innovation hub exclusively for Techies.

Kerala is gearing up for its first global IT summit which is to be held in the queen of Arabian Sea, Kochi on March 22 and 23, 2018. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan unveiled the logo of the event titled ‘#future’. The event to be held is mainly aimed at promoting Information Technology (IT) in Kerala at the international level, and to discuss the emerging digital trends and establish a network of global technology leaders with roots in Kerala.

Top global leaders of the IT industry (though names unrevealed by the organizers) are likely to speak at the event which would be attended by about 2,000 professionals, entrepreneurs, academicians, key influencers and other stakeholders.
The High Power IT Committee (HPIC) constituted by the Kerala State Government headed by Infosys members recommended the global digital summit in Kerala. “This would be a wonderful opportunity for Kerala-based IT companies, start-ups, aspiring entrepreneurs and individuals to understand directly from some of the brightest minds in the world about emerging trends in the digital space and what the future holds for them,” said Shibulal, the founding member of Infosys.

The next editions are scheduled to happen once in two years that will build and nurture a network of digital achievers and inspire them to participate in the digital ambitions of the state.

IBS founder and executive chairman V. K. Mathews, a member of HPIC and convener of the event, said that the state was hosting the event at a time when the IT sector was facing major challenges ranging from visa restrictions and economic constraints to automation. The event would not be limited only to IT, but would have discussions on digital trends in various sectors including education.

A direct outcome of the summit would be the formation of a ‘Digital Achievers Network of Kerala Origin,’ the members of which would become the brand ambassadors of Kerala, Mr Mathews added.

One of the drawing points of the event would be the digital experience theatre – a state of the art – virtually simulated and interactive platform – that would be set up at the venue of the event. Selected global companies from different sectors – healthcare, banking, telecom and unique start-ups will provide a wholesome digital experience to the guests.
