Headstart Kochi Awards 5 Most Promising Startups

Startup Saturday Kochi - Annual Conclave 2016 was held at Infopark Kochi. The event saw over 250 participants consisting of startups, students and ecosystem players.

It played host to a range of speakers – from the district collector of Ernakulam, Mr. K. Mohammad. Y. Safirulla to founders of successful startups like Mr Varun Chandran of Corporate 360 and Mr Able Joseph of aisle.co.

One of the feature sessions of the event was the ‘Story of Acquisition’ – a panel discussion with team Profoundis which was hosted by Mr Sijo Kuruvilla George, the founding CEO of Startup Village. The panel focused on the various aspects of running a startup – funding, hiring, growth and sale.  

The second panel discussion focused on what the important aspects of an ecosystem are and how Kerala scores when compared to other states. Stalwarts like Manu C Kumar from Manorama News, Gopi Shankar from Kerala Financial Corporation, Arun Nair from 10000 Startups, and Amit Singh from Headstart were the panelists.

Headstart conducted this special event to mark their successful tenure of 4 years in Kochi as an ecosystem facilitator. Headstart is a non-profit organization assisting early-stage startups and aspiring entrepreneurs navigate the challenges one faces during starting up. Present in over 21 cities, Headstart began its Kochi Chapter back in 2012 in Startup Village, with the vision of changing the world through entrepreneurship.

Headstart Kochi had initiated the Top 5 Most Promising Startups 2016 in association with FWD Media. The winners are :

The event concluded with a workshop by Mr Rohit Veerajappa from Lean Startup Machine on Lean Startup 101.
