Here’s what Prajwal has to say about his passion

In a quick conversation with Prajwal Xavier, whose work we had featured on Instagram, here’s what he has to say about his passion and inspiration.

What was your inspiration to take this up?

I love the letters from childhood onwards. The front pages of School assignments, projects was the first attempt level of my typography series. I did the same for my friends too. Doing front page of that assignment was the happiest moments in that time. My lecture notes were also in that type of matter. Each page consist of each handwriting and written in different patterns. And am more interested to do Malyalam typography.

When did the thought of combining typography with traveling occur to you?

When I started Instagram I had taken it as a serious challenge to find different thing in the same field. That's how the travel and lettering series came into my mind. In fact travelling is the top rated hobbies among youngsters. So I looked for a change to do something fresh in the same field. When I was scrolling through Insta, I found an international website for the travel and lettering series and they published my series also. I’m trying to establish that pattern through my work!
