Mammootty starrer 2014 film, Balyakalasakhi gave wings to our imaginations about Suhra and Majid. Almost all of us have read Balyakalasakhi of the great Vaikom Muhammad Basheer. The evergreen characters brought back old memories in the film.


Namukku Parkkan Munthiri Thoppukal


Namukku Parkkan Munthiri Thoppukal is a Padmarajan film from the golden age of Malayalam film. This Mohanlal starrer film is the adaptation of ‘Namukku Gramangalil Chennu Raapaarkkam’ by K.K Sudhakaran (1986). 




Mathilukal is another excellent novel by Vaikom Muhammad Basheer and it was made into movie with Mammootty as the protagonist. K.P.A.C. Lalitha gave voice to the unseen female protagonist, Narayani.  




Thanmatra directed by Blessy is based on Padmarajan’s short story ‘Orma’ . The story portrays the life of  an Alzhimers patient and his family. All of you must have been amazed by the movie, but the written word too has the magic.


Ivan Megharoopan


Ivan Megharoopan is directed by P. Balachandran. The film depicts the life of Malayalam poet P. Kunhiraman Nair based on his autobiography Kaviyude Kalpadukal.
