Moments From The Star Studded Teresian Night

The talented and beautiful ladies of St. Teresa College gave life to an event which the audience in a daze on the evening of January 3rd. It was a celebration of 92 years of sisterhood, companionship, unrelenting hardwork and scaling new heights. The talent of the students that was never witnessed by the public was finally showcased at this event. For the first time ever in its history a 'Teresian Night' was conducted by the college which was open to the public.
The night was one that those in the audience will never forget. For the alumnae in the auditorium, it was a trip back to their good old days in college, while for those new to St.Teresa’s it was an experience of what college life should be like. A number of the tickets were bought for the chance to see the celebrities in attendance at the event.
The event couldn't have started better, when Mammooty, dressed in a dark blue shirt and mundu, made a grand entry to the college premises to inaugurate the event. The actor recalled how the girls' college premises used to be a favorite haunt and how he used to hang around near the college when he was young, leaving the audience in splits.
Dona Benny, the chairperson of the college said first time a programme from the college was open to the public. She added, "Our intention was to bring in students of the college spanning 92 years, since its origin. The vibe was totally different when all the Teresians were gathered on the same platform."
From dance, music and fashion shows, there was everything to keep the audience glued to their seats. Animation films such as Frozen and The Beauty and the Beast made it to the list of themes that the students incorporated to their dance performances. Actress Sanusha, who is also a student of the college, was seen busy coordinating the events. DR Crew, a popping dance group from a popular dance reality show also showcased a spectacular show. The other guests for the event were Sreesanth, Pearle Maaney and Raj Zacharias, the producer of the upcoming movie Team 5. Pearle Maaney and Sreesanth were so impressed by one of the dancers, Ann, that she even called her on-stage to groove along with them. There was a dance performance by Anagha Maria on the sing' Etho Varmukilin'. There was a superb dance by the D3 team. The band KL 08 performed lively on the event. The lightning ceremony of lanterns was done by the students, teachers and alumini.
Ex-students from the 1961 batch till the current one made it to the event and Suma Ravindran, who passed out from the college in 1978, headed the alumni. She said in nostalgic recollection, "As the students were cheering loudly, I was telling my friends how we used to do the same. We miss doing all that."
