Mrs.India World from Kochi

Virginia Woolfe was heard saying that 'most of history, anonymous was a woman.' Now she is not hiding behind the curtains anymore. Iris Maju from Kochi has been crowned Mrs. India World 2015 and will take part in the Mrs. World paegent in China later this year. This flamboyant lady owes it all to her family. She believes that the paegent is not about glamor but about being a woman of substance. Iris is an army wife and english teacher who has been part of many a green initiative and has been campaiging extensively with students. On asked about the Miss World paegent, Iris replied that in the Miss World series your family supports you, but in the Mrs. World you have a family to support as well. Being part of the show takes a lot of hard work and dedication and Iris has been putting in all the hours required with her son and husband in full support. Best of luck Iris!

Q.Craziest thing you have ever done?A.Travelled to Kardung-La( Highest motorable road in the world) with a friend.

Q.One Rule you want to break?A. The  secret  to Success  is “ A good job and earning money.”

Q. Achievement that makes you feel high?  A. I got an opportunity to contribute to the welfare of the families of soldiers.  What ever little I did, I take it as an achievement.

Q. Any Idea that can be used to help greener environment?A.“Burn fat not Oil”. Use bicycle for short distance travel.

Q. Quote or Saying that encourages you ?A.“Climb every Mountain , Ford every Stream, Follow every Rainbow” till you find  your dream.

Q.Your Mantra to keep Diabetes at bay ...A. A balanced diet and regular physical activities.
