ORFEO, a seven-piece band brings back the memories of Kaavile Paatumalsaram by their latest cover of Padakali from the movie Yodha

Malayalam films have gifted us memorable pairs of characters that have remained in the movie lovers’ memory until today, like Dasan and Vijayan from the movie Naadodikaatu, Ashokan and Appukuttan from the filmYodha.
One of the greatest hit songs from Yodha is Padakali which was composed by A R Rahman and sung by K J Yesudas and M G Sreekumar. The song has found a new voice with ORFEO, a seven-piece band. The band which was formed a few years back has returned with a new line-up. The band members include international artist Maria Grigoreva on the cello, with Robin Thomas on piano, Carol George and Francis Xavier playing the violin, Herald Antony on viola, Benhar Thomas on drums and Binoy Joseph on percussion. The band has some talented and well-known artists from the music industry. Rex Isaacs has done the string arrangements for the song.
