Pranab Mukherjee makes first-ever Presidential visit to Biennale

In a first, the Indian President Pranab Mukherjee visited the Kochi Muziris Biennale. After inaugurating a seminar on the importance of sustainable culture building at Cabral Yard on March 2.

The President then had a guided tour of the primary venue, Aspinwall House, from KMB 2016 curator Sudarshan Shetty, of India’s only edition of Biennale. Accompanying the President were Honourable Governor Justice P. Sathasivam, Honourable Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan, Kochi Corporation Mayor Smt. Soumini Jain and Honourable Minister for Tourism Shri Kadakampally Surendran.
