Valentines Day celebration at Ernakulam Law College students becomes a brawl with police. Two foreigners arrested for recording the rally held by students.

All they wanted was to show their love to their soulmates! But their unification did not happen because they were not even allowed to enter the gate of the premises. The Valentines Day rally organized by Ernakulam Law college Students was suppressed by the police on the complaint of college Principal for not taking prior permission for the rally which was going towards St.Teressa College. This provoked the students and they started shouting slogans against the Principal and Police. A similar rally was organized by students last year too, on Valentines Day. Last year they went to St. Teressa College dressed up like women and offered roses to the students there.

This year they had plans to talk about the cruelty of moral policing towards transgenders, a representative of the group said. But they were brutally handled by the police. Students who did not even take part in the rally also got assaulted. Two foreign journalists were arrested for trespassing and attempting to record the rally, they were taken into custody as they did not have the Press Information Bureau of India(PIB) authorized I card.
