Witness Fashion Take Over the Night at the CUSAT Campus

The sea farers from the Kunjali Marakkar Institute of Technology were charting new horizons with the college fest Propulzo 2k16. For the first time for a marine institute, they were set to navigate the uncharted waters of fashion. The Ethereal Night was slated to be a fashion contest bringing various college talents onto one platform. Organizing an event of such a scale was no easy task. The cadets were up and about working relentlessly to put up one amazing show!

Eight teams from various colleges in Kochi lined up for the event, ranging from western winter style to desi – videsi, forming a balance between the yin and the yang to finding eternal peace and harmony. An open themed show, the teams were exceptional in their designs and themes that displayed skill, creativity and execution. The panel of judges comprised of the talented Lakshmi Babu, fashion stylist of FWD Media, wardrobe consultant and celebrity fashion stylist and the mesmerising Jyothi Vijayakumar, owner of Maya studio of Goddess Arts, actor, model and dancer.

Team Nirvana from St. Teresa’s college was declared the winner of ‘Ethereal Night and was awarded a cash prize of 30,000. The collection by Ms. Anna Ben featured textures, silhouettes and cuts that celebrated pop colors.The runners up were Team Siena from SienaCollege who chose ‘Winter Wear’ as their theme. The team was awarded a cash cheque of 20k.The audience were captivated by the show and marvelled at the talent displayed at the Ethereal Night.
