Fragrant Nature Backwater Resort and Spa to Open in Fort Kochi Today

 Following the successful launch of Fragrant Nature Backwater Resort & Ayurveda Spa in Kollam, Aroma Group of Companies is expanding its premium-luxury hotel brand -- Fragrant Nature Hotels and Resorts -- in Fort Kochi and Munnar, as part of the company’s plan to strengthen its presence in India.The two five-star Projects, with a total investment of Rs 250 crore, will be inaugurated at 5.30 pm on Saturday (October 24) in Fort Kochi. ‘Fragrant Nature Kochi’ will be inaugurated by The Most Rev Dr Philipose Mar Chrysostom, Valiya Metropolitan, and ‘Fragrant Nature Munnar’ will be unveiled by cine actor Padmashree Bharat Mohanlal.

The hotel at Fort Kochi, built in the colonial-style architecture, has 41 rooms across three categories overlooking the Arabian Sea. It is also close to all major tourist spots in the vicinity.The hotel, situated on the same locale where the erstwhile East India Company had established their office, houses a period Trompe L'Oeil art work in the lobby by two of the best Trompe L'Oeil artists of the United Kingdom (UK). The first of its kind art work in India, signifies the socio-cultural ethos of Fort Kochi and its surroundings, and has tremendous significance in the history of Kerala.  â€œOne of the most important highlight of the brand is that the food we serve is prepared using the produce from our own farms which are fully pesticide-free and micro-nutrient balanced,” said Mr. Romeo Justin, Chief Executive Officer, Aroma Group Hospitality & Tourism.  “We position ourselves high on the premium bracket to attract discerning clientele across the globe,” he added.The Fort Kochi hotel will boast a premium spa, two restaurants, coffee shop and a swimming pool on the top floor. The speciality restaurant will serve European cuisine, besides Indian flavours. The Fragrant Nature Munnar, styled similar to the local planter bungalows, is located at Pothamedu. One of the major highlights is that all of its 43 rooms offer unhindered view of the beautiful hill ranges of Western Ghats. This is the first five-start project in Munnar.Besides restaurants, spa and coffee shop, the hotel houses an amphitheatre too. Fireplaces in all rooms will be certain add on and the spa here will be Ayurveda-centric.

The Fort Kochi hotel will feature a period Trompe L'Oeil art work in the lobby, which will be unveiled by artist Riyas Komu, Secretary, Kochi Biennale Foundation.Hon’ble MP Prof K V Thomas, Hon’ble MLA Shri Dominic Presentation, Hon’ble Mayor Shri Tony Chammany, representatives of various political parties and other dignitaries will be present on the occasion. â€œAroma Group ventured into hospitality business in 2008 by establishing a 4-star hotel near the backwaters of Kollam. I am extremely happy to point out that it is the first time in Kerala that two five-star hotel projects are being launched simultaneously.
