Well, it did remind me of that dialogue, hence I asked Jijo Cherian, the CEO of taSki about the story behind naming this application. He says, "We stumbled upon 'taSki' at a lighter moment, while we were having a brainstorming session as to what we were going to name the application, yes it does bear its inspiration from that evergreen dialogue." However, there is more to it, with taSki being short and catchy. Also, have you noticed the way it is written, the capitalised 'S' stands for and emphases on 'Services'.

A unique feature about this service is that it is devoid of surge pricing. Yes, we do not have to worry about higher rates at peak time. This service has also taken steps to empower cab drivers. They take only 10 percent of the fare as service providers and the rest of the amount goes to the cab driver. Jijo says, “We will also, in due course of its development, bring forth several other welfare schemes for its drivers with this as a start."

This cab service has a full-fledged call centre that monitors trips. It is also available to assist you real-time during your journey which is a smart move to assure the passengers' safety in all aspect.

Kochi people have already accepted taSki and other cities will also be able to avail this service soon. Jijo says, 'This is just a beginning. For most of us, this (Kochi) is where we were born and brought up, lived and breathed of, it made perfect sense to launch taSki on our home-grounds. That doesn't stop us at it, in the near future, you are going to be seeing taSki cabs running in and around other cities in Kerala as well, and also, other states, before we go on to make ourselves an internationally acknowledged brand in the game."
